Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogie McGill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevens's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Can't Hold Us. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogie McGill!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGill forces Stevens back against the cage and clinches.
McGill looking to throw knees to the head but Stevens is blocking nicely.
McGill dodges an elbow strike from Stevens.
McGill misses with a knee strike.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Stevens.
Stevens using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Stevens misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McGill.
Stevens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McGill avoids it.
McGill connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stevens's face.
McGill throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McGill keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stevens's efforts to push away.
McGill tries a knee to the head but Stevens blocks it.
Stevens is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McGill is defending well for now.
Stevens wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McGill has him pressed against the cage.
McGill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stevens prevents it.
Stevens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGill has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stevens clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Stevens rolls, trying to escape but McGill keeps control of the position.

Well, with McGill on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Stevens is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Stevens wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes.
Stevens wants to control but McGill is having none of it.

McGill connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
McGill sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Stevens holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as McGill tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Stevens tries to hold on but McGill pushes him away.

McGill jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stevens manages to avoid the submission attempt.
McGill lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ground and pound from McGill seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
McGill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stevens can't do much from the bottom here.

McGill goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stevens has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McGill but great work by Stevens.
McGill is looking to reverse the position.
McGill keeps trying to improve his position.
McGill tries to escape but Stevens is in control.
McGill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stevens wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


McGill takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Stevens misses with a body shot.

McGill gets underhooks to prevent Stevens's takedown attempt.
Bogie McGill seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

McGill has hold of one of Stevens's legs. Stevens is fighting the takedown attempt but McGill gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stevens wants to stand and escape but McGill is having none of it.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Stevens manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
McGill lands a knee to the body.

Stevens manages to break the clinch.
Stevens lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

McGill looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stevens!
McGill has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Stevens!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGill can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stevens is looking to escape.

McGill goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stevens is on top in guard.

McGill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

McGill manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGill is defended easily by Stevens.

McGill forces Stevens back against the cage and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from McGill.
McGill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McGill is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Victor Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogie McGill.

Bogie McGill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Stevens's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Victor Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McGill.
A slapping leg kick lands for McGill.
McGill keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stevens.
Stevens fails in his attempt to clinch.

McGill has Stevens up against the cage in a clinch.
Stevens is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McGill is defending well for now.

McGill has clasped his hands together around Stevens's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

McGill passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Stevens!

McGill throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stevens because McGill loaded up on that one.
Poor strikes thrown by McGill there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

McGill looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Stevens avoids a series of strikes thrown by McGill.
McGill throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

McGill turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Stevens is trying to buck McGill off.

McGill trying to control the position but Stevens is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGill remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McGill prevents Stevens from escaping the position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

McGill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McGill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Stevens feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McGills jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

McGill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stevens is staying active underneath McGill, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McGill wants to stand but Stevens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McGill content to control rather than advance.

McGill is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McGill uses his free foot to push down on Stevens's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stevens.
Victor Stevens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stevens is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Still in half guard, McGill seems content to control.
McGill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stevens's head.

McGill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stevens is staying active underneath McGill, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stevens scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stevens misses the shot to the body.

McGill closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGill lands in his opponent's guard.
Bogie McGill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

McGill is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
McGill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McGill passes Stevens's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
McGill works his way into full mount!

McGill is working for a guillotine from mount but Stevens frees his head quite easily.

I've got McGill winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
