Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Marquis trying to control but Rivers is working from the bottom.
Marquis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Rivers wants to sweep here but Marquis controlling him for the moment.
Marquis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rivers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Marquis, into his guard.
Marquis wants to control the position but Rivers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marquis wants to control but Rivers is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rivers slows the pace down in half guard.
Rivers is nestled in close to Marquis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rivers lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Marquis wants to improve his position but Rivers is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rivers in particular looking to stall.
Marquis is trying to get back to full guard.
Marquis is looking to control Rivers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marquis avoid being mounted?
Marquis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rivers is trying to work for a kimura but Marquis is defending well.
Rivers lands strikes from half guard.
Marquis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rivers pulls his head out easily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rivers lands a nice short elbow.
Rivers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marquis's head.
Marquis is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Rivers is tapping! Great win for Marquis!
