Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Shepherd !
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shepherd closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jackson quickly recovers to half guard.
Jackson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Shepherd tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shepherd lands a nice short elbow.
Shepherd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Shepherd is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Shepherd is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Shepherd takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Shepherd winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Shepherd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shepherd tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shepherd lands a nice short elbow.

Shepherd stands up and beckons Jackson to join him on the feet.
Shepherd pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jackson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Jackson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shepherd lands with a nice combination. Jackson backs away looking to recover.

Jackson is rocked!

It looks like Jack Jackson has been cut.
Shepherd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson attempts a counter takedown but Shepherd avoids it well and moves away.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shepherd moves into the clinch.

Shepherd lands a takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shepherd loads up on a big left hand. Jackson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Shepherd looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Jackson can't hide his disappointment, as Shepherd celebrates the victory.
