Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Lundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kersikov comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man. Roman Kersikov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundin walks into a jab.
Kersikov moves away from the strike by Lundin.
Nice body punch from Kersikov.
Lundin blocks a leg kick.
Kersikov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lundin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kersikov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lundin appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

and Lundin counters with a single leg into guard. Kersikov didn't expect that.

Lundin is fighting to break Kersikov's control of his arms but Kersikov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kersikov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lundin has his hands clasped together but Kersikov extends and breaks Lundin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kersikov.
