Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skreba Reijonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashton comes to the cage accompanied by Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reijonen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ashton's sensitive parts.
Ashton cracks Reijonen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rick Ashton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reijonen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ashton lands a glancing blow to the side of Reijonen's head.
Ashton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Reijonen.
Reijonen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ashton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reijonen sprawls well. Reijonen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ashton gets slowly back to his feet.

Ashton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reijonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ashton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Reijonen defends well and Ashton ends up having to push Reijonen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ashton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reijonen.
Ashton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reijonen on his heels. He'll look to pass Reijonen's guard now, I'm sure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Reijonen holds on and takes a little breather.
Let's hope that Reijonen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Reijonen lands a left and a right that send Ashton crashing to the mat, dazed. Reijonen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Reijonen drops Ashton with a big left hand! Ashton is injured, injured bad! Reijonen jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
