Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Decimus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cubert Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cubert Rua will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Decimus Meridius. That snapped Rua 's head back.
Decimus Meridius displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rua throws out the jab.
Decimus Meridius misses with a lunging right hand

and Rua counters with a crisp one two that drops Decimus Meridius! Rua thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Decimus Meridius to his feet! Decimus Meridius is in big trouble!
Rua is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Decimus Meridius.
Rua misses with a wild combination.
Decimus Meridius tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rua was well out of range. Poor timing from Decimus Meridius.
Decimus Meridius fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rua tries to move into range but Decimus Meridius moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Cubert Rua has been cut.
We've been informed that Rua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A looping hook to the body misses from Decimus Meridius. Rua does a little dance to reset his feet.
Decimus Meridius throws the left hand but Rua avoids the punch easily.
Rua let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Rua lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Decimus Meridius circles away quickly and effectively.

Decimus Meridius is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Decimus Meridius.

Decimus Meridius continues to tee off on Rua , landing with a left and a right! Decimus Meridius connects with a right hand that leaves Rua sleeping against the cage!
