The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vieira.
Vieira with the counter takedown but Nye avoids it easily.
Nye lands a body shot.

As Vieira looks to move away, Nye throws a big counter combo bu Vieira just gets out of the way.
Nye throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nye gets tackled into the cage by Vieira. Vieira maintains the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Nye's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Nye got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vieira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nye has managed to get both his arms back between Vieira's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nye is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
