Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Macho Alpha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Watson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha goes for a double leg but Watson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Watson continues to drive forward.

Alpha clinches up against the cage.
Alpha is pressed up against the cage. Watson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alpha down to the mat. Alpha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Alpha shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Watson kicks off Alpha and gets to his feet.
Alpha swings for the body but Watson moves out of range.
Watson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Alpha has closed the distance and engaged Watson in a clinch.
Watson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Watson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Alpha is defending well.
Macho Alpha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Watson.

Alpha tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Watson's elbow.

Alpha works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Watson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Alpha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Watson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Watson pushes a forearm under Alpha's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Alpha is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
