The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Wickam finds it's way through Palhares's defenses.
A slow jab from Palhares misses its intended target.
Wickam lands a nice shot to the body.
Wickam jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Palhares was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We've been hearing reports that Palhares has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Randall Wickam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wickam looks to land a left hand but Palhares moved out of range nicely.
Wickam circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wickam counters with a straight that turns Palhares's legs to rubber! Wickam pushes forward with more strikes and Palhares goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
