Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deontay Wilder!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder lands with an overhand left.


It looks like Justin Orr has been cut.
A punch combination from Wilder misses.
Wilder swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Orr counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wilder wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Orr breaks from the clinch.
Orr moves out of range as Wilder strikes.
Orr half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Some wild striking there from Wilder.
Orr wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Wilder fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Orr tries to counter with a takedown but Wilder is quick to defend against it.
Wilder misses with an uppercut

and Orr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orr looking for a takedown.

Orr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wilder lands a glancing blow to the side of Orr's head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Orr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilder misses with the combination.
Wilder throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Orr's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wilder dives in looking to finish as Orr flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wilder's strikes! Wilder is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Orr's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Orr was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deontay Wilder!
