Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wacka Flocka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Paddon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darren Paddon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paddon lands a nice shot to the body.
Flocka wants to clinch up but Paddon keeps it at a distance.
Flocka is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Paddon.

It looks like Wacka Flocka has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Paddon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Paddon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nice defenses there by Flocka.
It looked like Flocka wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Paddon throws a lazy right hand but Flocka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Paddon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Flocka throws out the jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Flocka.
Flocka tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Paddon counters with a straight right hand.

Flocka tries to counter by clinching up but Paddon breaks away and moves out of range.
Paddon shoots in looking for a takedown but Flocka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paddon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Flocka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Paddon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paddon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flocka is looking to stand up but Paddon isn't so interested in that idea.

Flocka wants to get back to his feet but Paddon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Flocka is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Paddon.
Flocka feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Paddon's calf.

Darren Paddon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paddon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Flocka lands a glancing blow to the side of Paddon's head.

Flocka doesn't manage to clinch there - Paddon circles away.

Paddon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Flocka checks it well.
Paddon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flocka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Flocka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paddon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Flocka connects with a leg kick. Paddon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Flocka moves out of range as Paddon strikes.
Flocka scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Flocka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Paddon.
Paddon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Paddon misses the target.
Flocka tries to clinch there but Paddon circles away.

Flocka has managed to clinch.

Paddon has clasped his hands together around Flocka's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Paddon has knee on belly and moves into mount.
You get the feeling that Flocka really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Flocka really wants to buck Paddon off and get back to his feet.
