And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okiro with a jab.
Okiro doesn't manage to clinch there - Macintosh circles away.
Okiro lands with a cross.
Okiro throws a half hearted mid kick.
Okiro lands a lovely overhand right.
Macintosh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Okiro swivels and escapes.

so Macintosh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Macintosh is looking to pass into half guard but Okiro pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Okiro is in guard.

Okiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Macintosh keeps working.
Okiro looks to land a strike but Macintosh avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Okiro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Macintosh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Macintosh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Okiro feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Macintoshs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Macintosh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Macintosh wants to free his trapped foot but Okiro is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Macintosh is looking to stall here but Okiro recovers full guard.

Okiro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Macintosh manages to get himself to full guard.

Macintosh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Okiro defends well.
Macintosh pulls Okiro in close to prevent any damage.
Macintosh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Okiro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Macintosh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Macintosh wants to pass the guard but Okiro is defending well.
Macintosh is keen to just control but Okiro is a slippery customer.

Macintosh tries to move into range but Okiro moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Okiro throws a right and a left that Macintosh avoids nicely.
Okiro has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Macintosh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Macintosh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Okiro moves in looking to clinch but Macintosh pushes him off.
Okiro lands a really nice looking cross but Macintosh seems unphased.
Macintosh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Okiro.

Macintosh misses with a takedown attempt - Okiro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Okiro tries to land a front kick but Macintosh steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Macintosh shoots in but Okiro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Okiro lands a jab to Macintosh's midsection.
Okiro throws a push kick but Macintosh slaps the foot to one side.

Macintosh feints and as Okiro raises his hands in defense, Macintosh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Okiro has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Macintosh has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Bud Macintosh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Okiro tries to buck Macintosh off but Macintosh is having none of it.

Okiro seems a little lost for a moment, as Macintosh dominates the positioning.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
We've been hearing that Macintosh has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Macintosh is trying to get an arm triangle but Okiro is defending well.
Macintosh tries to advance position but instead Okiro slips a leg back in to half guard.

Macintosh is looking for a kimura but Okiro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Macintosh to get the leverage.

Macintosh seems to be working for a kimura but Okiro defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macintosh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Okiro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lyon Okiro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
