The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mantecon lands a nice hook to Williams's body. Williams takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mantecon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Williams takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mantecon looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mantecon.
Mantecon connects with a body shot that sends Williams's belly button to the back.
Mantecon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Williams counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Williams tries to advance to mount but can't.
Mantecon trying his best to control but Williams has mounted him.

Williams is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mantecon has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Williams controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Williams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
