Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoga Flame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leandro Jones!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Flame tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Flame ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jones steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Flame.
Flame pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jones has Flame up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones fails to pull guard.
We've been hearing reports that Flame has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Flame misses with a takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Flame throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Flame throws a lazy body kick
and Jones counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Flame misses with a jab to the body
and Flame takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Yoga Flame has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones staying out of range there.

Jones darts in and clinches Flame up against the cage.
Jones jumps guard but Flame turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Jones misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Flame keeps moving.
Flame trying to control the position.

Flame has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
Jones won't allow Flame to sweep him here.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Flame is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Jones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Flame checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Flame, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Flame against the cage but Flame circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yoga Flame has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leandro Jones.
Flame misses with a shot to the body

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Flame to keep the fight standing.
Flame displaying some good clinch control by pressing Jones up against the cage.
Jones blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Flame's head.


Flame is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones gets a clinch.
Flame tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flame misses with a kick to the body
and Jones counters with a huge left! Flame is in big trouble! He's backing up but Jones isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Flame from any more damage. A dominating finish by Jones!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leandro Jones!
