Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenichi Shirahama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bojan Vladislav!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shirahama lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shirahama.

and Vladislav counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shirahama regains full guard. Nicely done.
Shirahama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vladislav's guard.

Vladislav wants to get back to his feet but Shirahama is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Vladislav had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shirahama defends it easily.
Vladislav wants to sweep here but Shirahama controlling him for the moment.

Vladislav working for submissions but it's allowed Shirahama to get to half guard.
Vladislav wants to improve his position but Shirahama is controlling well.
Shirahama slips a nice elbow through Vladislav's hands, connecting with Vladislav's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shirahama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vladislav with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Shirahama looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vladislav is staying active underneath Shirahama, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Vladislav is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Shirahama really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shirahama connects with a nice short shot to Vladislav's temple.
Vladislav is still in real trouble! Can Shirahama finish him?
Shirahama lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Vladislav! More strikes land and this one is all over! Shirahama jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenichi Shirahama!
