Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tatton Chantry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsubasa J Champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tatton Chantry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tsubasa J Champ!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by J Champ.
J Champ tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chantry swats him away and circles back towards the center.
J Champ misses with a looping left.
Chantry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
J Champ lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Tatton Chantry has been cut.
J Champ thumps Chantry with a low kick.
J Champ misses with the combination.
Chantry changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
J Champ throws out a powerful jab.
J Champ lands a nice shot that snaps Chantry's head back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chantry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so J Champ is just riding it out for now. Chantry eventually gives up the hold.

J Champ is looking to clinch.
J Champ scores with a sloppy right hand. Chantry should have avoided that one.
Chantry takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

J Champ rushes Chantry and presses him up against the cage.
J Champ tries to break the clinch but Chantry is controlling the position.

J Champ escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
J Champ is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chantry.
A quick step to the side and Chantry tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
J Champ does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Chantry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chantry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chantry throws a strike but J Champ rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
J Champ is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Chantry has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. J Champ is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chantry.

J Champ decides to stand back up. J Champ steps back and let's Chantry get back to his feet.
J Champ has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chantry is landing a low percentage of strikes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tatton Chantry.
