The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaepernick as he jumps to the side.

Kaepernick drops Meyers with a beautiful combination! Meyers stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kaepernick is looking for the KO!

It looks like Charlie Meyers has been cut.
Meyers misses with a takedown attempt
and Kaepernick counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Meyers thinking.

Meyers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaepernick napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Meyers lands some shots froms side control.
Meyers fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Meyers swings around for an armbar but Kaepernick sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Meyers's guard.
Meyers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kaepernick controls the pace.
Meyers told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
