Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chase Utley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Utley comes to the cage accompanied by Paramore - Ignorance. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utley takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Utley avoids the body shot from Gruber.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gruber has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gruber fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Gruber ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Utley moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gruber rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Utley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Utley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gruber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gruber throws a lazy right hand but Utley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
