Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Aurelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Aurelius is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.
Silva passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aurelius is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well.

Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Aurelius is trying to stand back up but Silva is controlling him
Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Aurelius is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Aurelius is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Silva throws some wild stikes that Aurelius manages to avoid easily.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Aurelius will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva gets a double leg takedown into Aurelius's guard.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aurelius's guard.
Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Aurelius!

Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Aurelius tries to buck Silva off so he can stand up but Silva has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Aurelius falls backwards, slamming Silva to the mat but Silva holds on tight! Aurelius is forced to tap and this one is all over!
