Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block throws an overhand right that lands on Teller's shoulder, as Teller tries to avoid the shot.
Block pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Teller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Teller there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Rick Teller has been cut.
Teller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Block.
Teller blocks a jab.
Teller looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Teller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Block.
Block misses with a kick to the body.
Block takes a swing at Teller's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teller tries a head kick but it misses.
Block dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Teller. That did some damage!
Block misses with a looping right.
Block looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Teller takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Teller throws a nice inside leg kick.
Block cracks the inside of Teller's front leg.
Teller checks a low kick from Block.
Block is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Teller's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Block misses with an uppercut. Teller saw that one coming.
Teller takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Block dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Teller. That did some damage!

Block pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Teller counters with a thumping low kick.
Block looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Block scores with a push kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Block, right into the meat.
A low kick from Block is predictable there
and Teller counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Block is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Block throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Teller's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Block throws a sloppy head kick and Teller moves out of range easily.
Teller misses with a head kick.

Teller slips under a jab.
Block fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Teller is out of range.
Teller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Block lands a big head kick that sends Teller tumbling to the mat! Block takes a step backwards and waves Teller back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Teller is rocked!
Teller looks to land a left hand but Block moved out of range nicely.
Block appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Block throws a hook to the side of Teller's head but Teller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Teller takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Block and Teller are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Block throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Teller into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Block knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
