Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sultan Aliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aliev comes to the cage accompanied by Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Aliev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Aliev misses with a takedown
and Andrews counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Christian Andrews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aliev shoots in and bounces Andrews off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aliev wants to control from the top but Andrews keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aliev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Andrews parries the strikes from Aliev easily there. Aliev is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Andrews to escape.

Aliev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andrews keeps working.
Andrews takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andrews can do anything to dispel that myth.
Aliev cracks Andrews with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Aliev immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Andrews is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Aliev!
