Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robin Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Belfast!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belfast pushes Watts up against the cage in a clinch.

Belfast breaks from the clinch.

Belfast clinches with his opponent.
Watts has Belfast pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Belfast manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Belfast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Belfast drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Belfast wants to stand but Watts is controlling his posture from full guard.
Belfast trying to control but Watts is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts looking for a sweep. Not yet Watts, not yet.
Belfast slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Watts trying to keep a closed guard but Belfast is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belfast distracts Watts with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Belfast swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Belfast clinches up with Watts and pushes him back against the cage.

Belfast successfully pulls guard.
Belfast has momentary wrist control but Watts slips an elbow through the middle.
Belfast throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Watts wants to control from the top but Belfast keeps moving.
Watts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Watts passes Belfast's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Watts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Belfast on the ground.
Belfast is looking for a sweep. Watts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Belfast makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belfast.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Belfast bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Watts's guard.


Watts has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Belfast is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Watts.
Watts wants to control but Belfast postures up.
Belfast cracks Watts with a big right hand but Watts just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Belfast working the body and head with strikes.
Watts is trying to get back to half guard.
Belfast staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Belfast wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Watts, who protects the arm well.
Belfast wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watts keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Watts tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Belfast dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Belfast shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Belfast was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Watts is looking to regain half guard here but Belfast keeps moving and retains side control.
Belfast tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts can't do much from the bottom here.
Watts is not content to let Belfast control the position.
Johnny Belfast has got the better of the ground game so far.

Belfast in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Watts is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
