Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brabo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burer Mutant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws a half hearted mid kick.
Garcia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Garcia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mutant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mutant tries to buck Garcia off but Garcia is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mutant is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've been told by Garcia's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brabo Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mutant shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Garcia eats them both and turns towards Mutant to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Mutant throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Garcia goes for a double leg but Mutant avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mutant continues to drive forward.
Mutant avoids a punch combination nicely.
Garcia is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A looping hook to the body misses from Mutant. Garcia does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Mutant counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mutant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garcia circles away quickly and effectively.

Mutant stalks Garcia and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Garcia's face. Garcia staggers backwards, shaken.

Mutant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Garcia wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mutant has him pressed against the cage.
Garcia tries to land knees in the clinch but Mutant avoids the damage to the body.

Mutant has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Garcia is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mutant is defending well.
Mutant makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mutant has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
