Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Papu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into the arena with Don't Mean A Thing blaring out of the sound system. Papu has chosen abu theme as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Papu throws a big shot that misses.
Papu misses with a looping left.
Papu lands a jab.

It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut.
We've been informed that Papu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Papu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nelson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Papu cracks Nelson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nelson throws a lazy right hand but Papu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Papu clinches up with Nelson and pushes him back against the cage.
Papu keeps control of Nelson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Papu tries to land knees in the clinch but Nelson avoids the damage to the body.
Papu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Nelson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Papu has him pressed against the cage.
Papu gets through Nelson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Papu lands with a left to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Papu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nelson backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Papu.
Papu lands an uppercut.
Nelson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Papu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Nelson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice shot lands for Papu.
Nelson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Papu.
Nelson throws a shot from downtown. Papu moves away and avoids it.
The crowd cheers as Papu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nelson doesn't seem phased though.
Nelson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nelson throws a nice looking combination but Papu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nelson throws an off balance right hand
and Nelson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Nelson is rocked!

Roy Nelson's cut is getting worse.
Nelson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Papu gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abu Papu!
After winning the bout, Abu Papu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
