The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruggiero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ruggiero wants to clinch.
Ruggiero takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Vinny Ruggiero has been cut.
Ruggiero goes for a double leg but Eerkilaa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Eerkilaa continues to drive forward.
Ruggiero fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eerkilaa misses with a straight left.
Eerkilaa circles away from the clinch attempt
and Eerkilaa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ruggiero tries to clinch but Eerkilaa is having none of it.

Eerkilaa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ruggiero in his tracks.

Ruggiero is rocked!
Eerkilaa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ruggiero.
BOOM! Eerkilaa lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ruggiero. Ruggiero tries to recover but Eerkilaa is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ruggiero lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
