Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Udo Hitzlsperger!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitzlsperger slips a straight right by Wiggin.
Wiggin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters circling a little - Wiggin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Hitzlsperger throws a body shot but no joy.
Wiggin is looking to counter punch.
Wiggin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wiggin ducks under a wild hook from Hitzlsperger.
Hitzlsperger fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wiggin with a hook.
Wiggin throws out a loose jab but Hitzlsperger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wiggin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hitzlsperger misses with a jab, cross combination.
Udo Hitzlsperger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wiggin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wiggin swings widly with a right hand
and Hitzlsperger counters with a left to the body.
Wiggin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hitzlsperger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hitzlsperger swings for the body but Wiggin moves out of range.
Hitzlsperger misses with a series of wild punches.
A clash of legs there as Wiggin blocks the low kick.
Hitzlsperger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wiggin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hitzlsperger has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Wiggin tries to close the distance and clinch but Hitzlsperger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hitzlsperger doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hitzlsperger throws a hook but Wiggin avoids it easily.
Wiggin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hitzlsperger throws a body shot but no joy.
Wiggin avoids the body shot from Hitzlsperger.

Wiggin pushes Hitzlsperger up against the cage in a clinch.

Hitzlsperger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wiggin closes the distance and clinches.
Hitzlsperger tries for a takedown but Wiggin manages to get underhooks.
Wiggin lands a shoulder strike.
Hitzlsperger taking a breather.
Hitzlsperger lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wiggin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hitzlsperger backwards.
Wiggin lands an elbow just above Hitzlsperger 's eye.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hitzlsperger has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wiggin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Eli Wiggin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Udo Hitzlsperger.
Wiggin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hitzlsperger has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wiggin scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Hitzlsperger cracks Wiggin with a nice body shot.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hitzlsperger.

Wiggin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Wiggin with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Hitzlsperger scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Hitzlsperger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wiggin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hitzlsperger throws an off balance right hand
and Wiggin counters with a three punch combo that has Hitzlsperger backing up. Hitzlsperger nods at Wiggin to acknowledge the strikes.
Hitzlsperger throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hitzlsperger works Wiggin's body with a nice hook.
Hitzlsperger sizes up Wiggin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wiggin avoids the head kick by Hitzlsperger.
Some wild striking there from Hitzlsperger.
Hitzlsperger jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A chopping leg kick lands by Wiggin.
Hitzlsperger throws a shot to the body.
Wiggin scores with the left hand. Hitzlsperger knows he should have avoided that one.

Hitzlsperger misses with an uppercut.
Hitzlsperger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wiggin's head backwards.
Wiggin connects with a right hand. Hitzlsperger shakes it off.
Hitzlsperger scores with a shot to the body.
Hitzlsperger delivers a nice body kick.
Wiggin moves forwards but Hitzlsperger connects with a nice, crisp jab.


Wiggin is rocked!
Hitzlsperger drops Wiggin with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hitzlsperger follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Udo Hitzlsperger!
During a confident post fight interview, Udo Hitzlsperger thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
