Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti fails to land the takedown.
Gatti rushes Major and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gatti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gatti tries for a takedown but Major circles away easily
and Major counters with a nice body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Major, right into the meat.
Major throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gatti sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Major fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Major doesn't manage to clinch there - Gatti circles away.
Gatti takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Arturo Gatti has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Major. Gatti shrugs it off though.
Major misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gatti is looking to counter the offense by Major and move into the clinch.
Gatti darts in looking for a takedown but Major gets double underhooks and turns Gatti into the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Major accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Major missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gatti keeping moving, preventing Major from controlling successfully.
Major loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Gatti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Major can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gatti goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gatti moves into the clinch.
Gatti tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Major just stands there and leans against the cage.

Major misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gatti.
Gatti prevents Major from breaking the clinch.
Major tries to break free but Gatti pushes him back against the cage.

Gatti jumps into guard, dragging Major to the mat.
Major is looking to work some ground and pound but Gatti has wrist control.

Major really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gatti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gatti is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Major wanted to stand there but Gatti had control of the position.
Major working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Major Major will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Arturo Gatti's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Major throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gatti on the side of the head.

and Gatti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Major lands a big head kick that sends Gatti tumbling to the mat! Major takes a step backwards and waves Gatti back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gatti is rocked!
Major chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Oh Gatti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Major fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gatti looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gatti shoots in for a takedown but Major shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gatti leaves his chin hanging out and Major seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gatti crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Major Major!
