Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Carriggian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cliff Carriggian!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado shoots in and gets a takedown into Carriggian's guard.
Machado trying to control but Carriggian is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carriggian can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Machado controls the pace.
Machado wants to control from the top but Carriggian keeps moving.
Machado passes Carriggian's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Machado tries to pass to full mount but Carriggian defends it.
Machado is trying to work for a kimura but Carriggian is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Machado seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carriggian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machado seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Carriggian is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
