Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra comes to the cage accompanied by Mozart - Lacrimosa. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nagendra forces Wates back against the cage and clinches.
Wates is trying to drag Nagendra to the mat but Nagendra just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Nagendra jumps guard.
Wates stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nagendra swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wates must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wates is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Wates stopping the sweep attempt from Nagendra.
Nagendra is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nagendra is looking to cinch up a triangle. Wates throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nagendra's body to avoid the submission. Nagendra has instead reached around Wates's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nagendra arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Montgomery Nagendra really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that xXx Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
