PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamshed Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Charlie Kelly has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Charlie Kelly seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Kelly.
Kelly lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Khan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khan was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly.
Kelly tries to land a front kick but Khan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Khan swings wildly with an uppercut but Kelly uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kelly manages to break the clinch.
Khan tries to bum rush Kelly with a series of wild strikes but Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

As Khan tries to get set, Kelly tries to push him back and clinch up but Khan manages to avoid the attempt.

Khan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Khan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kelly finds it's way round the side to connect with Khan's head.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kelly.

Khan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kelly lands a jab to Khan's midsection.

Sloppy strikes from Kelly. Those never looked like landing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kelly's corner calls for a 1-2. Kelly obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Khan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kelly can pounce on him.

Khan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kelly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Khan can do to turn this around?

Kelly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kelly does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Khan tries to move into range but Kelly moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Khan has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kelly.

Khan is breathing heavily.
Kelly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Khan.
Charlie Kelly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A jab from Kelly does it's job there.
Khan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Khan moves forwards but Kelly connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Kelly counters with a crisp one two that drops Khan! Kelly thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Khan to his feet! Khan is in big trouble!

Kelly catches Khan with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Khan forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

A relieved looking Charlie Kelly thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
