Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Grimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuya Shiroo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grimson comes to the cage accompanied by Omerta - Lamb of God. Shiroo has chosen The Gazette / Filth In The Beauty as his entrance music. Stu Grimson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tetsuya Shiroo!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shiroo! But no joy.
Shiroo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grimson as he jumps to the side.

and Grimson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Tetsuya Shiroo has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shiroo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
That kick from Shiroo tenderised Grimson's leg. Grimson is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've been told by Grimson's head coaches at Guerrilla MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Tetsuya Shiroo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

An out of breath Stu Grimson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Tetsuya Shiroo stepped up to the mic, saying 'I was prepared to die in this cage tonight. The opponent was the better man today but I will be back stronger.'.
