Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adi Dassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adi Dassler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donald Evans!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dassler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dassler steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evans.
Evans misses with a leg kick

and Dassler holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dassler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dassler turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dassler looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Evans tries to improve position but can't.

Dassler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Evans struggling a bit here.

Dassler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Evans has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dassler throws a strike aimed at the side of Evans's head but Evans avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dassler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dassler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Evans tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dassler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dassler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Evans sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Evans tries to get to full guard but Dassler has control of the leg.

Dassler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dassler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Evans defending well though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Evans slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Dassler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Evans looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dassler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dassler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Evans throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dassler escapes and throws Evans's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Evans gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Dassler is working for a kimura but Evans is defending it quite comfortably.
Evans gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans keeping full guard, as Dassler tries to pass.
Evans is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Evans looking for a sweep. Not yet Evans, not yet.

Evans throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dassler wants to pass the guard but Evans is keeping the position.

Evans looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dassler drops back, looking for a kneebar! Evans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Evans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Evans!
Dassler is trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Evans is looking to take a break and control but Dassler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dassler wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Evans is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dassler is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dassler manages to get back to half guard.

Evans is working for a submission of some sort.

Evans is trying to work for a kimura but Dassler is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adi Dassler dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Evans gets caught napping as Dassler dives in and scores a takedown. Evans manages to retain guard.
Dassler with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dassler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Dassler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Adi Dassler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Evans has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Dassler. Oh but Evans has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Dassler goes limp - he's gone! Evans jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Donald Evans!
