The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Christenson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yak to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Christenson trying to keep a closed guard but Yak is proving a slippery customer.
Christenson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yak on the ground.
Christenson wants to sweep but no luck.
Yak passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Yak has hold of Christenson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Christenson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yak cranks the arm and Christenson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Christenson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sinan Yak!
A relieved looking Sinan Yak thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Devon Christenson was interviewed post fight and said 'Yoshi... your beating me tonight has shown me great need to fire my coaching staff!'.
