Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Haverford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jase Newson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Haverford might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jay-Z & Kanye West - N** In Paris. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haverford looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Newson is fending him off so far but Haverford persists. Nope, Newson circles away and we're back to standing.
Haverford throws a body punch but Newson moves out of range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Haverford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Newson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Newson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Haverford crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Newson - the referee stops the clock and Haverford gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Newson. Haverford manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Haverford is breathing heavily.
Newson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Newson lunges at Haverford with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Haverford 's hand.
Haverford tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Newson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Newson has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Newson cracks Haverford with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Newson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Haverford to stand back up!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
