Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerardo Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Buzianocnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buzianocnik has chosen Dawaj Na Ring as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mariusz Buzianocnik!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila gets caught napping as Buzianocnik dives in and scores a takedown. Avila manages to retain guard.
Avila scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mariusz Buzianocnik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buzianocnik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Avila's guard.
Buzianocnik throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buzianocnik works over Avila with some ground and pound from guard.

Avila is trying to control but can't.
Buzianocnik is pressing down on Avila's thigh, looking to free his foot. Avila is holding on for now.
Buzianocnik seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like Buzianocnik might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Buzianocnik is continuing to stall.
Avila controlling the position well.
Buzianocnik is taking a breather. Avila says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Buzianocnik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Buzianocnik tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Buzianocnik shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Buzianocnik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Buzianocnik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Avila controls Buzianocnik momentarily but Buzianocnik frees himself.
Buzianocnik wanted to stand there but Avila had control of the position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The adventures of Buzianocnik the control monster continue. Boring.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buzianocnik gets the takedown into side control.
Buzianocnik tries to stand but Avila is controlling his head.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Avila struggling a bit here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mariusz Buzianocnik dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice straight punches there by Buzianocnik. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Buzianocnik.
Buzianocnik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Avila's guard.
Avila is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Buzianocnik defends well.
Buzianocnik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Buzianocnik with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Avila is rocked!
Buzianocnik is stalling in the full guard.
Oh Avila is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Buzianocnik gets to his feet and stands over Avila, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Avila felt that one! Buzianocnik unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Avila from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mariusz Buzianocnik!
After winning the bout, Mariusz Buzianocnik thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
