The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Putin!
Kalsoevic moves to clinch but Putin breaks away
and Putin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kalsoevic's knee momentarily.

and Putin counters with a nice body shot.
Putin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice body kick from Putin.
Putin throws a leg kick which misses Kalsoevic's front leg but catches the back leg as Kalsoevic tries to avoid it.
Kalsoevic walks into a left hand.
Putin stuns Kalsoevic with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Putin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Putin lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kalsoevic regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Putin.

Putin is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Sanitarium that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Putin arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Kalsoevic's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Jonas Putin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
