Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Joyner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bear Kills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Joyner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bear Kills!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kills shoots in but Joyner avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kills gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kills can't break the clinch.
Kills has had enough of the clinch but Joyner keeps him there for the moment.
A frustrated look appears on Kills's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kills has Joyner pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joyner manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Joyner fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Joyner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Joyner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kills.
Robert Joyner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bear Kills.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kills throws a sloppy head kick and Joyner moves out of range easily.
Joyner looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Kills shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joyner sprawls well. Joyner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kills gets slowly back to his feet.

Joyner closes the distance and clinches up with Kills, looking for a takedown. Joyner pushes Kills against the cage but Kills circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Joyner manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Kills tries for a takedown but Joyner manages to get underhooks.
Joyner fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joyner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kills's efforts to push away.

Joyner has Kills pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Joyner pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kills tumbling to the mat - Joyner dives into Kills's guard.

Kills is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Joyner presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Kills fails to pull guard.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kills.
Joyner tries to pull guard but Kills forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Joyner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kills has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Joyner uses from the top position.

Kills is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kills throws a combination. Joyner tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Kills fails with a takedown attempt.
Joyner appears to be looking for a big counter.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Joyner slaps away a takedown attempt from Kills, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kills forces Joyner back against the cage and clinches.

Kills breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kills has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Joyner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kills pinned against the cage. Kills gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Joyner gets control of Kills's arms and successfully pulls guard. Joyner will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Joyner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kills is controlling him.

Kills is pressed up against the cage. Joyner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kills down to the mat. Kills avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kills is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Joyner fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joyner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kills smiles and moves away.
Kills shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joyner but Joyner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Joyner throws a counter high kick but Kills was just alert enough to avoid it.

Joyner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joyner wants it to stay on the feet.
As Kills looks to move away, Joyner throws a big counter combo bu Kills just gets out of the way.

Kills shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joyner pinned against the cage. Joyner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

It looked like Joyner wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bear Kills showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Joyner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Joyner wants to get up but he can't break Kills's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bear Kills seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Joyner wanted to stand there but Kills had control of the position.

Kills looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Joyner stops Kills from standing up.

Kills takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kills moves in looking to clinch but Joyner pushes him off.
Robert Joyner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bear Kills is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Joyner. Kills does a little dance to reset his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Joyner.
I think Kills has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
