The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez moves into the clinch.
Velasquez lands a hook that snaps the head of Jango backwards.

Velasquez wants the takedown. Jango is fighting it off but Velasquez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jango's guard against the cage.

Jango manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Velasquez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Velasquez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jango wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is keeping the position.

Velasquez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Velasquez clinches up with Jango and pushes him back against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velasquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jango is looking to control Velasquez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jango avoid being mounted?

Jango working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Velasquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jango is tightening it up a little... Velasquez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Velasquez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Velasquez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jango!
