Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Junior Bowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viriato Lusitanni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Bowers is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior Bowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Viriato Lusitanni!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowers clinches with his opponent.
Lusitanni is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bowers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bowers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bowers gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lusitanni.
Bowers doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lusitanni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lusitanni takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lusitanni tries to score a body lock takedown but Bowers shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Junior Bowers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viriato Lusitanni.

Lusitanni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Lusitanni.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lusitanni misses with a few strikes there.

Lusitanni drives through and clinches with Bowers against the cage.

Lusitanni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Viriato Lusitanni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lusitanni tries for a takedown but Bowers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lusitanni moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bowers.
Lusitanni tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Bowers gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bowers throwing damaging strikes from the back! Lusitanni could be in trouble here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bowers really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Lusitanni.
Bowers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
You can see the frustration on Lusitanni's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lusitanni just trying to survive but Bowers is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Lusitanni tries to escape the position.
Lusitanni covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Bowers biding his time, controlling Lusitanni.
Bowers lands shots from the back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lusitanni turns into Bowers and is now in his guard.
Lusitanni trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Bowers looking for a guillotine here but Lusitanni defends easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bowers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lusitanni doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lusitanni manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bowers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bowers is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lusitanni has his hands clasped together but Bowers extends and breaks Lusitanni's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bowers.
