The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bourne looking to score a takedown here. Pulkkinen is defending well but Bourne drives through and ends up in Pulkkinen's guard.
Bourne wants to control from the top but Pulkkinen keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bourne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pulkkinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bourne loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bourne trying to control the position from guard on top but Pulkkinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pulkkinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bourne thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bourne is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pulkkinen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bourne is working away from the top position though.

Bourne throwing shots but Pulkkinen is blocking nicely.
Pulkkinen wants to control but Bourne is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pulkkinen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bourne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pulkkinen is refusing to be controlled, as Bourne sits in half guard.
Bourne seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bourne is working for a kimura but Pulkkinen is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bourne decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Pulkkinen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pulkkinen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bourne shoots in and drives through. Pulkkinen sprawls well.
Bourne has been working on his balance at Tycoon Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Pulkkinen.
Pulkkinen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pulkkinen connects with a jab.

It looks like Liam Bourne has been cut.
Bourne throws a head kick that misses.
Pulkkinen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bourne is breathing heavily.
Bourne takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pulkkinen is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Pulkkinen digs a good hook to Bourne's body.
Pulkkinen sizes up Bourne with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bourne gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Pulkkinen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Bourne is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
