Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fritz Haarmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Illumi De Medici!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haarmann walks into a stiff left hand from De Medici.

Haarmann manages to get an easy takedown there - catching De Medici on his heels. He'll look to pass De Medici's guard now, I'm sure.
De Medici is pulling down on Haarmann's head to control his posture.
De Medici keeping moving, preventing Haarmann from controlling successfully.
De Medici has control of Haarmann's left arm, preventing Haarmann from doing any damage.
Haarmann controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Haarmann is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
De Medici cracks Haarmann with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
De Medici throws a looping overhand right but Haarmann ducks down to avoid it.
Haarmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice side step and De Medici releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Haarmann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

De Medici lands a left and a right that send Haarmann crashing to the mat, dazed. De Medici thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Fritz Haarmann has been cut.

Haarmann shoots in looking for a takedown. De Medici tries to sprawl out of it but Haarmann keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Medici manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and De Medici counters with a crisp one two that drops Haarmann! De Medici thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Haarmann to his feet! Haarmann is in big trouble!
Illumi De Medici seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Medici throws a nice inside leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for De Medici.

De Medici drops Haarmann with a beautiful combination! Haarmann stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - De Medici is looking for the KO!

Haarmann is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A slapping leg kick lands for De Medici.
De Medici drops Haarmann with a straight right hand, right on the button! De Medici follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Illumi De Medici!
An out of breath Illumi De Medici thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Fritz Haarmann stepped up to the mic, saying 'Zum Teufel!'.
