And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Lord!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Banks finds it's target.
Decent striking displayed by Lord there.
Lord moves out of range as Banks strikes.
A big right from Lord misses.
Banks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Banks lands with a nice body punch.
Banks catches Lord with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lord on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lord takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lord shoots in for a takedown but Banks shows good takedown defense.
Lord closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Banks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lord moves away.

Lord unleashes a big counter combination but Banks bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Banks throws a body shot but no joy.
Lord misses with a double jab.
Lord connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Lord misses with an uppercut. Banks saw that one coming.
Lord closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Lord misses with a series of wild punches.
Lord with a nice cross.
Lord jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lord throws a big shot that misses.
Banks swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A slow jab from Lord misses its intended target.
Sloppy strikes from Lord. Those never looked like landing.
Banks misses with a body shot.
Banks swings for the body but Lord moves out of range.
Lord looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lord throws a big shot that misses.
Banks throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lord stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lord avoids the body shot from Banks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Banks. Lord does a little dance to reset his feet.
Banks keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lord throws a series of punches but Banks avoids them all with ease.
Banks ducks under a wild hook from Lord.
Banks lands a jab to the nose.
Lord looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good standup being displayed there by Banks as he connects with a hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Banks cracks Lord with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Lord is rocked!
Banks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lord doesn't seem bothered though.
Lord is still on wobbly legs! Can Banks finish him?
Lord looks winded!
Banks closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Lord out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
