Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khadzhimurat Gatsalov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Pompier misses.
Gatsalov moves to clinch but Pompier breaks away
enabling Pompier to counter with a crisp jab.
Pompier takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gatsalov tries to clinch but Pompier moves away
and Pompier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gatsalov misses with a body shot
and Gatsalov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gatsalov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pompier.
Pompier checks a low kick from Gatsalov.
Pompier lands with a cross.
Gatsalov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pompier was well out of range. Poor timing from Gatsalov.
Pompier swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gatsalov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pompier's calf.
Pompier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pompier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gatsalov tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pompier throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pompier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gatsalov throws out the jab.
Pompier staying out of range there.
Gatsalov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
An attempted straight right counter from Pompier misses the target.
Gatsalov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gatsalov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pompier moves away.
Gatsalov has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Pompier takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gatsalov scores with a sloppy right hand. Pompier should have avoided that one.
Gatsalov misses with a double jab
and Pompier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Khadzhimurat Gatsalov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gatsalov misses with a body kick.
Pompier throws a big counter combination but Gatsalov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gatsalov scores with a hook to the body. Pompier takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gatsalov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pompier counters with a crisp one two that drops Gatsalov! Pompier thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gatsalov to his feet! Gatsalov is in big trouble!
Gatsalov is rocked!

Gatsalov misses with a shot to the body
and Pompier counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Gatsalov badly! He tries to strike back but Pompier puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Gatsalov out cold! Oh man, Gatsalov will never hear the end of this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Stephane Pompier!
Stephane Pompier decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
