The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mort is looking to score with low kicks.

Mort shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fitzpatrick manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fitzpatrick throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mort escapes and throws Fitzpatrick's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Mort wants to stand but Fitzpatrick has his arm trapped.
Fitzpatrick tries to bench press Mort off him but Mort keeps the position.

Mort tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mort has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mort should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mort has eaten all the pies!

Fitzpatrick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mort on the ground.

Mort has an Americana. Fitzpatrick didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mort is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mort hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
