Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raiymbek Batyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Riasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riasco comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Mexakinz ft. Xzibit - The Wake Up Show kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batyr tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Riasco counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Riasco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Batyr is keeping the position for now.
Batyr wants to stand up but Riasco is controlling him.
My spies in King's Palace inform me that Riasco has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Riasco wants to control from the top but Batyr keeps moving.
Riasco prevents Batyr from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Batyr manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Batyr gets through Riasco's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riasco gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Batyr has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Riasco is on him like a limpet, forcing Batyr back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Batyr misses with an elbow strike.

Batyr pushes off an throws an elbow but Riasco leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Riasco lands a takedown into guard.
Riasco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Batyr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Riasco trying to control the position from guard on top but Batyr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Riasco won't allow Batyr to get back to his feet.
Riasco slips nicely into half guard.
Batyr wants to get back to his feet.
Riasco is looking for a kimura but Batyr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Riasco to get the leverage.
Riasco is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Batyr is just riding it out for now. Riasco eventually gives up the hold.

Batyr is looking to escape.
Riasco is working for a kimura but Batyr is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Batyr is defending against the submission attempts here by Riasco.
Riasco is trying for a kimura here. Batyr looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Riasco wins by kimura!
