PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruised Rib Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Do You Really Wanna Hurt Me" by Culture Club kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Aldo.
It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Aldo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Aldo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Silva under the eye.
Aldo throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aldo's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva works to advance to full mount. Aldo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Aldo for as long as he can get away with.

Aldo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bruised Rib Aldo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Aldo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silva feinted there with a counter leg kick.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Aldo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aldo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

Bruised Rib Aldo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
