Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandu Lungu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaquille O Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lungu comes to the cage accompanied by You Ain't Stoppin Me. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Shaquille O Neal was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Lungu.

It looks like Shaquille O Neal has been cut.
Lungu wants to slow O Neal down by chopping away at his legs.
O Neal is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Sandu Lungu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lungu throws the kick towards the body but O Neal avoids it.
O Neal wants to counter the offense by Lungu and move into the clinch position.

O Neal wants to clinch up but Lungu keeps it at a distance.

O Neal doesn't manage to clinch there - Lungu circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lungu. O Neal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lungu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A quick step to the side and Lungu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

O Neal avoids a punch combination nicely.
O Neal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lungu finds it's way round the side to connect with O Neal's head.
Lungu is looking to chop away at O Neal's legs.
O Neal avoids the body shot from Lungu.
O Neal has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lungu.
Lungu misses the shot to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Lungu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
O Neal moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Lungu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before O Neal has time to react.

Lungu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lungu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but O Neal manages to avoid it.
Lungu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The cut above Shaquille O Neal's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
O Neal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
O Neal looks for the body kick but Lungu saw that one coming.
Lungu throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
O Neal is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
O Neal avoids the body shot from Lungu.
Lungu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

O Neal darts in and clinches Lungu up against the cage.

Lungu wants to get back to striking at distance but O Neal won't allow it.

Lungu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

O Neal clinches up with Lungu and pushes him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
O Neal struggles to land a body shot inside as Lungu controls his hands.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for O Neal.
I was talking to Lungu's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
O Neal misses with a punch to the body.
Lungu is trying to push O Neal away but O Neal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
O Neal misses with a body punch.
O Neal misses with the head strike.
Lungu lands with a short shot to the head.
O Neal struggles to land a body shot inside as Lungu controls his hands.

O Neal tries to throw a body punch but Lungu avoids it by throwing O Neal back against the cage.

Lungu is trying to force a seperation but O Neal has the dominant position.

Lungu breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
