Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ozutsu Fukumatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrad Drummond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ozutsu Fukumatsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Conrad Drummond!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drummond takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fukumatsu throws an overhand right that lands on Drummond's shoulder, as Drummond tries to avoid the shot.
Fukumatsu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Million Dollar Performance Center in the buildup to the fight.
Fukumatsu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Drummond counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fukumatsu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Drummond looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Drummond trying to control from half guard but Fukumatsu is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fukumatsu is positioning himself well to prevent Drummond advancing to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fukumatsu is looking for a sweep. Drummond is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Drummond wants to free his trapped foot but Fukumatsu is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Drummond in particular looking to stall.
Drummond looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fukumatsu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fukumatsu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Drummond has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fukumatsu swings away with a body shot that misses

and Drummond counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fukumatsu wants to sweep here but Drummond controlling him for the moment.
Drummond in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fukumatsu pulls Drummond in close to his closed guard and prevents Drummond from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drummond stopping the sweep attempt from Fukumatsu.
Drummond is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Drummond pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fukumatsu is keeping the position for now.
Drummond lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fukumatsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Drummond missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Drummond postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Drummond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed right hand from Drummond misses the target.
Drummond ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice sprawl there from Fukumatsu as Drummond shoots in.
Fukumatsu throws a right and a left that Drummond avoids nicely.
Fukumatsu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drummond manages to avoid it.
Drummond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fukumatsu looks to land a left hand but Drummond moved out of range nicely.
Fukumatsu just misses with a punch to the body.
Fukumatsu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Drummond counters with a takedown into side control.
Fukumatsu is not content to let Drummond control the position.
The referee asks Drummond politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Drummond prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fukumatsu is trying to control Drummond's posture but Drummond avoids it.

Drummond is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fukumatsu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fukumatsu wants to control but Drummond postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Drummond passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Fukumatsu!
Poor strikes thrown by Drummond there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Drummond lands a couple of good shots and Fukumatsu has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conrad Drummond dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Drummond staying out of range there.
Fukumatsu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Drummond on the side of the head.


It looks like Conrad Drummond has been cut.
Drummond uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fukumatsu.
Fukumatsu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Fukumatsu throws a leg kick which misses Drummond's front leg but catches the back leg as Drummond tries to avoid it.
A big left from Fukumatsu misses.
Decent striking displayed by Fukumatsu there.
Conrad Drummond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Drummond misses the body punch
letting Fukumatsu counter with a right hand.
Drummond attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Fukumatsu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Drummond keeps the fight on the outside.
Drummond tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Fukumatsu keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Drummond throws a low kick, looking for Fukumatsu's leg but Fukumatsu calmly moves out of range.
Fukumatsu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Drummond at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fukumatsu catches Drummond napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Drummond to the canvas!
Drummond is breathing heavily.

Fukumatsu stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Drummond throws up his legs and catches Fukumatsu in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Fukumatsu tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Drummond! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Conrad Drummond!
