The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peso throws a series of punches but Palmer moves out of range.
Palmer cracks Peso with a right hand to the side of the head.
Palmer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Peso.
Peso takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Palmer thuds a left hand into Peso's body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Peso looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Palmer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peso sprawls well initially but Palmer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Palmer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Palmer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Palmer is looking to take a break and control but Peso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Palmer seems to be looking for submissions.

Palmer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Palmer prevents Peso from standing back up.
Peso is not content to let Palmer control the position.

Palmer is looking for a kimura but Peso is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Palmer to get the leverage.
Peso is trying to stand.
Peso has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Hut - $50. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Palmer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peso does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Palmer goes for an armbar but Peso turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Peso.

Peso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Palmer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peso has managed to get both his arms back between Palmer's legs - danger averted.

Peso working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Palmer's head.

Peso postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Palmer's head off the mat! Palmer is out! He's out! Peso jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
