Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Curtis York!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jithin India!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

York tries to sprawl but India drives through with a takedown into half guard.

York manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. India keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
India wants to break the clinch but can't.

India gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

York manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

York moves into the clinch successfully.

York is fighting off a takedown attempt but India is just too persistent for him and manages to trip York to the mat. York regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

York uses the cage to get back to his feet.

India feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

York wriggles free and stands up.

India shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

York manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. India keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
York is trying to work for a single leg takedown but India pulls him back up using the underhooks.

York jumps into guard, dragging India to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

York has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes India off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

York instigates a clinch.

India lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

York has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but India is on him like a limpet, forcing York back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

India has picked York up - he's going for a ride! India dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

York manages to escape and get back to his feet!
India looks winded!

India looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for York!

York bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

India shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

York pushes India off and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
York really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

York has India up against the cage in a clinch.

India has hold of one of York's legs. York is fighting the takedown attempt but India gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

York has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. India is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

York gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, India regains guard.

India is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, York has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - India taps out instantly and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Curtis York!
